About the Project
The Batumi Air Traffic Control Tower is equipped with state-of-the-art navigation systems and all essential services for flight safety. In 2012, INSTA upgraded the design of the Batumi Control Tower by installing a digital screen across the facade, capable of displaying various graphic and digital images, advertisements, and text content. The upgraded tower stands out as a unique architectural landmark among air traffic control towers worldwide.
The Challenge
The core objective was to transform the Batumi Control Tower into an icon of the city's architecture while ensuring total compliance with strict aviation security and safety standards. The primary complexity involved installing a media system on the facade that could reliably render high-impact dynamic graphics and digital content under any weather conditions.
The Result
The synchronization of these advanced technological systems provided the facility with an easily manageable, reliable, and energy-efficient infrastructure—turning the tower into a globally unique architectural and media platform.
